Easiest way for a first timer IMO - remove alternator, remove the bracket under the alternator, or loosen the bolts, so you can have some wiggle room to replace the elbow. Make sure none of it is broken off, if it is, make sure you get the broken part out of the intake

They just came out with new aluminum ones you can get from rockauto link----------> RockAuto Parts Catalog
Or get the gm ones. I had the plastic dorman ones fail in 2 months for me.
