LOL wow that's an old thread. I never tried it, heard way too many bad things about Kool-Vue

Yeah sorry, I was looking through and saw it and got all excited. I looked up my vin and it said I already have heated mirrors? I dont know if I do or not. I was just going to buy OEM heated mirrors from Rockauto or GMpartsdirect. But eh I guess there is more important things too lol.

IF you have heated mirrors, they will turn on with your rear defroster.

So that's how they work. I always knew I had them but had no idea how they worked.

I put a KoolVue powered mirror on my '97 C/2500 truck probably a couple of years ago now. Just last week I got in the truck and it seems to be dying already. I can move it up, not down, right, not left. Pretty much as bad as they say. Unfortunately I didn't know that when I bought it!

I also heard how sometimes the mirror itself can just FALL out of the car, or it gets very loose and will vibrate and wiggle while driving.
