Isn't the LTZ supposed to have every option the SS has except the engine? Mine doesn't have heated exterior mirrors. Why? Where would the button be if I did?

 

they are standard on the LTZ but I can't find the pic!

 

I'm wondering if it is an always on feature? maybe someone can help you out tomorrrow?

 

I dont think heated mirrors come with an on/off button. I have never seen a button for heated mirrors. Usually they are always on or come on when you turn on the rear window defroster. Look in the corner of the mirror glass and see if there is a little etched graphic of a mirror with heat waves in the center. That usually indicates heater mirrors.

 

I Believe mine has that. I think it comes on with the rear defroster.

 

i dont know about the ltz, but not all of the SSs have them. i believe that its part of a option package. if you had the heated mirrors, you had a power passenger seat, side airbags and the 6 disc cd player. those are the only options my SS doesnt have, and anyone that ive seen with the side airbags has the heated mirrors and 6 disc player.

 

I have the heated mirrors on mine. I don't have the graphic you mentioned on mine. So it's possible that Bego may have the heated mirrors even though the little symbol isn't there.

My heated mirrors come on with the rear defogger. Great feature. Wish all cars came with that.

 

No three little squiggley lines on my mirrors either. But the window sticker has it printed right on it. So does the '03 Pace car.

The rear defroster operates them.

 

Then I guess I probably have them and don't know about it, although I don't have a power passenger seat or side airbag.

 

The mirror thing will be easy to figure out as soon as your windows frost over. Don't clean the mirror. Simply turn on your rear defroster and wait a minute. If the frost starts melting, you have them.

You may be able to get a power passenger seat from a junk yard. Should be a simple bolt-in swap. The connector may already be sitting on the floor under the passenger seat.
