So I noticed yesterday that my car would stay in acc position and wouldn't fully turn off. I don't know if it has to do with anything but yesterday I also happened to put a new gear shift ****. If someone could help that would be great!

 

You can't turn the key off entirely unless it's in park IIRC, so the shifter could be the problem... If not, I'd say an issue with the ignition switch.

 

Sometimes I have to push my shifter forward all the way befor I can take the key out.
