Default Brake pad compund

I am going to be upgrading the front rotors and pads. I know they were ceramic from the factory. I plan to leave stock rear rotor, but if they aren't ceramic pads, I'd like to upgrade them to. Does anyone know the factory material on the 6th gen rear brakes? ceramic? organic? semi-met?

EDIT: yes, I spelled the title wrong. lol

buy the wagner part numbered SX699 carbon metallic pads if you want performance from them at the cost of black dust. MX699 are ceramic's but stop well and make no dust.

That comes no where close to answering my question. I just want to know what the factory rear brake compound is.

In 2000, I'm pretty sure the front and rear pads were organic from the factroy. I know in 2006 the front and rear pads are ceramic from the factory.

I recommend you change all your pads to ceramic. They give you low dust, and nice smooth braking, without being to harsh on your rotors.

I'd stay away from Semi-Metallic, they are hard on rotors. I had semi-metallic pads chew up the rear rotors on a 2000 Bonneville (the pads were practically new, rotors were in good shape when the pads were installed, after a few thousand miles on semi-metallic pads, rotors had grooves in them).
