Unhappy Brake lights no workie!

My hazards and blinkers both work but the brake lights do not come on! Is there a switch some where that I need to adjust? The car is a 1985 Monte SS! All help is appreciated. Already checked the fuses and the lights are all good. Same lights as the turn signals and hazards.

Hi Big Kev,
Check on the firewall above your brake pedal &
you should see a metal switch with a button
Check your switch to see if there is contact, when
your brakes are applied.

If you have a electrical tester ? See if there
is power to the switch when contact is made.

If this does not work, check back on your Thread
question & see what our expert tech member's
post. Good Luck from `Space

I will look into that and let you know if that fixes it.

The style switch I have is actually aft of the brake pedal. When the pedal is push it breaks contact with the switch which turns the lights on. I think I need a new one.
