Default Brake bleeding/flushing order

What's the correct brake bleeding/flushing order for an 02 Monte Carlo 3.4L?

The Haynes says Right Rear, Left Front, Left Rear, Right Front.

That just seemed odd.

I always do furthest from the master cylinder to closest, so on our cars it would be, RR, LR, RF, LF.

Is that the furtherest even with the ABS unit in the system?

I've got another older GM car with ABS. And you have to start with the Right Front, because that is the furtherest from the master because of the ABS unit.

I got a repair manual on CD for the 02 Monte Carlo. Looks like it is a type of shop manual as it is very detailed. I got it off eBay.

The order in that manual is the same as in the Haynes: Right Rear, Left Front, Left Rear, Right Front.

So, I'll just follow that order when I flush the brake fluid.

Go for it!

I'm sure as long as you get all the air out it doesn't matter haha

I got the fluid flushed. Only problem I had is I flush via a vacuum at the bleeder screw. But for some reason, the rear bleeders would just suck air. So, I had to let the rears gravity bleed.

Next time I may get a pressure bleeder.
