Remember, your alternator and power steering pulleys are in that area too. With the power steering, if the pump goes bad it could sound like the pulley, not normally but I have seen it. And all the pulleys in that area will sound the same. Because they are so close to one another it makes it hard to tell which one it is. Turning them each by hand, as mentioned before, will give away the bad one!

OK so I did the squirting test at work and I hit the belt. The squeak went away. For mmoments. I hit the back of the pulley area and it stopped. The pulley is fairly new tho....

I checked back at the details on this thread. First question, have you removed the belt and ran the engine to see if the noise goes away? If it does go away, it confirms if it is belt/pulley related. Second question, have you taken the belt off and spun the pulleys by hand, looking for odd sounds and/or play/slop in the pulley?

Lastly, the L36 3800 is known for an issue that if you don't have the O-rings properly installed on the PCV, it generates a noise commonly mis-diagnosed as a noise alternator.

Hey thanks mr. Jason for responding I haven't done the belt off test that will have to wait till Sunday morning. When I had the tensioner off I spun the pulley but nothing squeaked

If you have your belt start squeling again be sure to check the alignment of the pully. If one of them is off it will sometimes cause a squeal.
