Default Battery symbol in message center

Car keeps beeping and flashing the battery symbol in the message center, matter of fact it's a solid on and is not turning off or flashing! Let me guess it means my battery is dead cause connections to it are clean and solid.

Yea figured it was the altinator. The car still started but struggled to drive and just a mile from home it died and would only drive with the jump starter still connected. I went to the local auto parts shop and bought a new altinator, took mine off and swapped them in less than 10 minutes and I was surprised how easy it was. (Rare anything goes easy on this car)

Monte is running fine now again.
