Hey RJ. I never had the battery truly die. I had a message flash up on the diagnostic display that said "Service Battery Charging System". The minute I got to work, I brought up the forumto see if it was a problem for others. My car doesn't usually sit. A day at the most, and rarely at that. So I thought I was going to have more difficulty with the dealer than I thought based on what the previous threads were stating as the problem. Idid bringa copy of the thread that stated it was a body or trans control module with me (as a backup if needed), and told the service writer the same. After about 2 minutes on the computer, he said the body control module would have to be reflashed and that should correct the problem.So far, so good.

Without the forum, who knows how many times I would be back to the dealer, because when I got there, the message was gone from the display.

I would take the TSB number I listed above and let them know you want the same thing done. Mine was done under warrenty and in about 45 minutes at the dealer. Hopefully yours is still under warranty.

 

 

They need to have something to notify customers when they bring their cars in for oil changes to give them a heads up on these possible problems.
