Hello, Im new here... but I was looking to see if a tranny swap would be possible on my 04 Monte Carlo... its the 3.4 model... FWD..i would like to know if it is possible to be done and if it is possible then how would i go about doing this and like part list and such... i was forced to buy an automatic model because my dad co-signed.... i really wanted a Manual....so if this is possible im ready to get it done. just need to know if its possible....

 

it's possible, but it's A LOT of work. No Monte carlo (at least) 2000+ came manual. It wasn't an option.

 

It is possible, you could use the manueal transmition from a grand prix (from what i've been told) my friend did it to his 25th anniversary camaro)



Custom dual exhaust
26% window tint
Dual black rally stripes
Blacked out tail lights and reverse lights

 

I've heard of several people starting but then never finishing. You will have to do a decent amount of custom work.

However if you manage to go through with it then we will demand some pictures and a walk through of how you did it so others can follow.
