well, be it the gearing of the car, or displacement on demand, or chevy just not admitting to themselves when they made the car, that more than likely most people will NOT be doing 55 mph all the time ... this car really suffers at speeds above 65 or so ...

if you want better mileage, go slower ... that simple :p

and for gods sake, please put 91 or higher in her ... unless you get a tune for 87, you really are going to do more damage than what the 25 cents a gallon is going to save you over the long term ... the KR demon is going to get you eventually and you will not like the outcome ... but then again, if you dont care about having to rebuild your engine due to detonation, by all means run 87 in it ...

if you dont want to put premium in her, buy another car ... that simple

a good ( and by good i mean consistently 89 or a little higher ) 89 is not so bad ... but trust me, these motors do not like a 87 ... very easy to get some detonation with some bad 91 ... not to mention bad 87

if you need any proof, just ask lew ... lewtune ... i forget what his actual screen name is ... but he can tell you all about what it actually can do to your engine over time

these cars can be tuned to take 87, i believe but are not meant to take it ...

who knows, maybe thats why mine had so many problems, because my stupid brother very rarely put 91 in it and used to BEAT on her ... i ran 91 the ENTIRE time i had the car almost 15,000 miles and had nothing but problems ... could very well have helped it start to fail, if not having caused it directly

cold air intake and different mufflers will probably add about 0.8-1.2 mpg city ... thats "about" what it did for me
I'm getting about the same highway as this member stated. City, around 14-15. Intake and mufflers didn't do a damn thing for me either. I'm always running premium 91+.

They documented the issue and advised me that I will be notified when the new "fix/parts" are avaliable, even if i'm out of warranty, (due to documentation while under warranty)... They said it shound be 3-5 months? I have no idea what parts they are talking about; perhaps there is an issue with the rings and seals?
Hey what was the problem/ fix for your trans cooler line... Mine has been leaking for quite a while now.

That seems excessive. How many miles and how much oil was it burning?
