Our `97 and `98LS`s are doing ok so far....`97 has 88k and the `98 has 105k but was told by the previous owner that the `98 had an engine change so that makes that engine at around 90k. The `97 has the dexcool and the `98 has the green stuff.

I might be tempted to drain the dexcool out of the '97...just my opinion though.

i might be a tad bit late to help u , if u havnt already fixed this, fel pro has a gasket called "problem solver" if i remember the price was around $70.00 maybe $80.00 had to do one in a olds alero , only to find out not only was the lower intake was leeking but after the job was done ,220 miles later low coolant light came back on thats when i realized the head gasket was bad so if u decide to do lower intake make sure before u start ,to do a compression check, i did but the alero was not completely cool , i would suggest to do a compression checkafter the car has sat overnite. hope this helps ! if u havnt already done this.
