Any 454 experts?
As you might tell, from my Screen name, I'm a Mopar guy. I'm on this forum because of my wifes Monte. I've nothing against GM or Ford engines. I've built some 460 Fords, for a few buds. But, even though I'm way old, I've never played with a gm big block. Long intro, so here's my plight.
I've been helping a neighbor, build a 32 Chevy coupe. Now he's a great welder but, not much of a gearhead. So, It's up to me to put his drive train together. He's going with a Muncie 4 speed and a mopar 8 3/4 that I have in my shop. His dad has a motor home 454 with peanut heads,(whatever they are) He wants to go with the Edelbrock efi. He was told, by a fellow Chvey guy, that there were no after market hi-per intakes that fit those heads. Is this info correct, or BS? And what's up with the peanuts heads. I assume they make good low end torque. Should I work with them or go Edelbrock? This will be a street driven, no track time rig.
Thanks again for your thoughts,
Crazy
