Amp/Sub with stock headunit

I did some research on the topic. And, from what I've read, it seems the stock head unit in our cars send a pre-amp signal to the factory amp. So, theoretically, the line-out converter isn't even needed.
Just take your RCA's and splice them into the harness going INTO(not out of) your stock amp. This is the route I'm going to be taking in a few minutes, when I can find a wrench capable of breaking this strut tower bolt loose. I'll let everyone know how it works out for me. But, I may have saved a few people(including myself) a good $15!

Sorry everyone, kinda disappeared for a little bit and had to leave Roxy alone. should be finishing her up some tonight once i get my hands on a multimeter and can finish the wiring. since this thread started I have installed HID headlights and found some new issues with the car to work on and got some new ideas. writeups coming soon
