Default Airbag light after swapping out drivers seat

I have a 2001 MC SS I have recently swaped out my drivers seat for a heated seat which does not have the side airbag on it. how do i get the air bag light to go off (complete the circuit)? is there a special plug that goes in the yellow plug that now hangs under my seat or what?

Sorry dude your kinda screwed on that one. the module only has a preset resistance and when it see's that spec it knows that the air bag is there and ready for deployment if needed. I don't know the spec resistance for air bags, and you can't just check with a multimeter because the meter leads have a possibility off setting the bag to deploy WHICH CAN KILL YOU!! don't try it.

your best option is to pull the bulb out of the dash. other than that pull the bag out of the seat very carefully and plug it in under the seat. just don't crash or it could make you a$$ really sore. lol seriously.

the light doesn't really bother me but i would like to know if something goes wrong with the other air bags. they should make a recepticle for the plug, you would think.

They don't want you to mess with the air bags. And there isn't much that can go wrong on modern air bag systems anymore and if it does are you really gonna fix it??? No one ever does unless it stops the car from moving
