6 th genLeather drivers seat with airbag
Hello, I know I'm NOT the only one with this problem, but I've got bit two times now. My drivers side leather seat where the air bag is located, the leather is separating from the airbag. I thought maybe I was the only one, mine did it, didn't sweat it, so I bought a BRAND NEW seat, I've had it now for 7-8 months (the new seat) and NOW it's separating !!! Does anyone know how to correct this? Really ticks me off. As I stated, I thought maybe I or my family "broke" the seat, but then a second one...... Exact same thing. Please tell me theses a fix, bugs the heck out of me, so now I am the proud owner a a nice drivers side leather seat just setting around.... Lol.... HELP !!!! Thanks. Mjc
Yea your not the only one with that problem. My drivers seat is doing the same and whenever I think about it, it makes me feel very uncomfotable driving. Im scared the airbag is gonna come out. The dealership actually laughed at me when I told them I was scared :/ they told me I can have it fixed by them or by an independent shop but the only fix would be aftermarket seating...
Hey guys - You're not the only one! I've got the same problem ever since I bought the car. Don't have to worry about it falling out tho...never had it happen to me over thousands of miles. . .lol. I would appreciate some advice here though. I would love to get this thing taken care of
yeah mine too, happen way back in 03 when the car was 3 month's old, the replaced the bag first, then the seat, and was ok until about a year ago, but now I have no warranty so I just deal with it, it's not gonna fall out, just looks fugly.

Yea, if you don't have the problem your lucky, in my opinion it SHOULD BE a recall issue, almost every single Monte with leather seats does that, or is starting to doo that. I'm not worried about the air bag deploying or falling out, I just think it's UNLY AS HELL. 
and this is the SECOND seat ! I still have a near brand new drivers seat with airbag and all that had this issue , so I bought a brand new seat and it ended up doing the same thing. Just was hoping someone came up with a fix for it. If no one has a fix for it, I may experiment on my other seat to see if I can fabricate something to fix it permanently. So , I will document what I do just in case I happen to "find a cure" for it. In the mean time, if anyone has already made or did something other than stuffing it back in ( it works for a couple days on mine) but as stated above and by others... FUGLY ! .... Thanks guys, hope someone figures it out. Maybe we could all get together an get a recall done by GM ?

Haha yeah, wouldn't that be nice! I would be glad to experiment with it if I had another seat, and I don't want to ruin the seat I have... So if you do find something I'd love to hear it before I go too far with my own. Thanks!
05 seat
Just wondering, does the 05 have the airbag? If not I may just have to look for an 05 seat. Lol... I haven't seen the 05 seat without the airbag. I've only seen the leather seats with the airbag..... Hmmmm. Michael...
