Default 98 Monte Carlo Z34 shutting down

I've changed the spark plug wires and MAF sensor because when I hooked it up to the onboard diagnostics it said number 5 was misfiring. Well after replacing those it still shuts down. Can anyone please help? Thanks

Does it shut down after running for a bit? Maybe test your coils. Usually coils that are going/ have gone bad show their true colors once they warm up. Some people have told me if a coil goes bad it will misfire on both cylinders it controls and others have told me that a coil can go and only create a misfire on one cylinder. I wish I could remember the range of acceptable resistance from when I checked mine last but I dont. Im sure it can be found online somewhere.
