85 4.3 TBI intermittent fuel fault.
I have a 1985 Monte Carlo with the 4.3 TBI engine. Up until recently I had used it as my daily driver and it was always 100% reliable.
Because of a shift change I was able to use my wife's Chrysler 300M instead (the A/C works!) and laid up the Monte for over 3 weeks. Now I find that it cuts out for no apparent reason, I can hear the pump working OK and I changed the fuel filter 6 months ago. The car willstart again after 4 or 5 attempts and then run normally.
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? I'm guessing the fuel pump is on the way out or the fuel injection pressure regulator is not working properly.Thanks.
