Default 5.0 to 5.7 motor swap lining up Help

I have the 350 in but can't get the motor and trans to come together. I'm sure it's something simple, but this is my first swap. I used the mounting hardware from the 305. It's off but about 1 inch to 1.5. Any help would be great it's getting colder and I hate cold. Thanks to all who help.

Got them together today. It was a bad trans mount that allowed the trans to slide back.

What is off ??? from 1 inch to an inch and a half?

Maybe your using the wrong flywheel/flexplate????

I don't get what the issue is your talking about....

the 265,283,305, 327, 350, 400 are all the same block...

So whats seems to be the problem?
