Default 4t65e question

Hi guys, as you all know, I am not a transmission guy. And my YellaJAC is hybernating till I get the solenoid for it.
My question is, has anyone used the Cascade solenoid kit. I found it on EBay for $82. The thing is the details do not say who manufactured the parts. And it is recommended that we use ACDELCO ELECTRONICS.
I need to get the parts to the mechanic by Fri so he can fix it on Saturday. I don't want to just get the TCC because the trans has 184,000 miles on it. It just makes sense to change all the solenoids and the Switch while he is in there! So has anyone used any electronics in the trans other than ACDELCO? I need to know quick! Thanks

Yeah, I used solenoids from Autozone, the cheapest ones I could find (I'm sure they weren't ACDelco). They've been working good for me.

I actually called Rock Auto. They said they only have 2 of the solenoids and they do not have and OEM parts reference#. I ordered the Cascade kit so hopefully it will be OK!

I'm in the same boat as YellaJac. After getting the cooling fans, relay, and fuses replaced. My trans started to act up. 3 codes came up, for the gears 1-2, 3-4 solenoids and the TCC solenoid. My mechanic went through all the wiring and found a live wire placed where it shouldn't have been. The took care of that one the codes for the gear solenoids went away; however, the TCC solenoid code remained. So my mechanic took my car to his trans guy and he wants $450 just to drop my trans and find out what is going on. Everyone is telling me it is time to get a new car, but Silver Fox (that's what I call her) is my first car, my first love, and I feel we have a lot more years together. I've had for 8 years and I when I got her she had 43K miles and now she's at 133K miles. Do you guys think $450 is too much just to drop the trans and find out whats going on? Thanks in advance.

most transmission shops can do a diagnostic scan while driving to help diagnose the issue. if the transmission guy instantly wants money and to drop the pan, i would get a second opinion.

always get a second opinion for that matter.
