thats correct. nope, it is a standard phone wire for a beltronics radar. there are only 2 wires running to my mirror. i had the 2 corresponding wires running out of the phone wire with pigtails that plugged into the molex connector nicely. i had not put a fuse in line yet...

i had summed it up as a short in that wire someplace. but it wasnt really a difficult installation.

At first I thought that my underglow was still drawing power on my battery so I removed the power line along with the line for my amp so that nothing aftermarket was connected. Battery died two more times before I decided that it wasn't anything hooked up.

Hopefully that wire was all, but I'd still try to keep an eye out if possible. I've heard plenty about how some ACDelco batteries just don't last long.

As for your car still being under warranty, I'm not too sure about the '07s but I know the '06s were only 36k/3yrs unless you bought the extended that bumped it to 100k/10yrs. Pretty sure the drivetrain warranty is a full 100k/10yrs. Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong.

There are numerous service bulletins on GM Remote Keyless Entry antennas and fobs...have your dealer run a VIS inquiry (should be NO cost) and all TSB's should show up.

I have had that same problem with my 2006 LT. I have 1200 watts in subs installed. I thought it was that to begin with. So i had my alternator checked and it was weak so they replaced it(small price to pay for good sound eh?). Then it kept happening so i brought it in for service and they re-wired and re-installed all my remote start antenna and fobs. They said it was a security problem in the computer. It kept happening after that. So i finally just took out every wire I had put in it, I.E. Remote cable, Power cable and then let it sit. After two days of sitting it started up just fine. So i went to the audio store and purchased all new wires for my sub and amp and it ha worked just fine the whole time. My battery was just replaced early this year also. It seems to be a very mysterious problem a few of us Monte owners have had! wierd huh?
