2005 Monte LS High Beam issue
A couple of weeks ago the high beam on the driver's side high beam stopped working. Yestereday, while changing the oil, I decided to look at it. I pulled the bulb and looked at it and it looked fine. So, I pulled the the passenger side one and put it in the driver's side, it didn't work. So I put it in the passenger side and it worked. So, I verified the bulbs were both working.
I looked at the owner's manual to find the fuses. I pulled the one, that I thought was for the driver's side and the fuse was fine. So, I pulled the one for the passenger side and switched it out, and still nothing. So, not the fuse. Now, when I went to put the fuses back, the passenger's side light started flickering and went dim and the radio went in and out and finally off. I tried to start the car and it was dead.
I jumped it and ran it for a bit. It sat over night and it ran fine today.
So, I've got 3 questions.
1. What would cause just the driver's side high beam to not work?
2. Is the another fuse I need to look for?
3. And why would the car go dead when trying the fuses?
Thanks for your input......
