Default 2003 Monte Carlo won't start!!

I have a 2003 Monte Carlo ss. I have a mechman 240 amp alt and a red top battery under the hood. The Monte won't start after I took my big stereo system out. All the original wires are still in place. But for some reason my door locks and jus about anything in the car has no power I put a volt reader to the relays and fuses under the hood and I have a 12+ but everything inside the car has now power. I'm very confused on why this is happening so if anyone has any ideas let me know thanks for looking

Hi Neil and Welcome to the MCF.

Do you have any check engine lights ?

Did you check your connection to your starter ?
Bad Starter relay ?

Sounds like a ground or some other connection got removed when you took the stereo out, check all the wiring

Question

I agree sometimes when you get inside and take out the aftermarket stuff it will want to mess with you. Check that ground wire for sure something went from the ignition switch to that aftermarket radio and when it left so did that connection. Good luck.
