I am having a slight oil leak from the valve cover on my 3.8. It is leaking on the manifold, adn I am worried about a fire. Sombody told me they thought they had a recall on this that year for this very reason. Does anybody have any info on this.

 

Apparently this recall repair is GM adding 2 spark plug wire separators up front. Here is a link for information. Have heard this is a pretty useless repair.

Looks like the recal does not cover the actual valve cover gasket, plus looks like recall has already been done on mine. Good thing I got a 3 month warrenty on the car when I bought it. To the dealer it will go to have it fixed.
