Default 2001 Rear Window Defogger not working - Where is the breaker?

Hi,

The rear window defogger on my 2001 Monte Carlo SS is no longer working despite the light on the button comming on. I have checked for the location of the circuit breaker. The manual shows this breaker as being in the passenger side pannel on the right side of the fuse board. There is nothing there that even resembles a breaker only a bunch of wires in a harness under a plastic cover with a bolt in the center.

Does anybody know where the real location of the rear window defogger circuit breaker is? Will resetting the breaker fix my problem?

this is just a shot in the dark but did you happen to get your windows tinted if so there is a chance that if you took it some where to do it that they disconected the wire that is on the back window. it is a clip that just slides on to a metal clip in the window. this happened to me.

Well, your shot in the dark was a bulls eye.

I checked the connections to the rear window and noticed that one of them has broken off. The plug is still connected to the metal clip but the metal clip has broken off the rear window. The good news is it still has it's little "feet" so I should be able to solder it back on. I am assuming that they used solder to attach it in the first place.
