Default 2001 Monte Carlo SS Amplifier

I am looking for the amp for my MC. Model number is 10309547. I know I can buy used ones on Ebay etc. I just do not want to buy a 20 year old amp that may die at any time. Hoping someone may have one they removed in order to install an after market stereo. Actually any lead to one would be appreciated.

Ah, another 2001 owner looking for the holy grail. I've been searching the local Pick n Pulls for several years for a backup and have only found 2, both non-working. I've found a couple of 10432571 (replaced by our amp) that make sound but no bass (compared to mine). I've also checked 00-01 Impalas - same amp with a different mount. The second 9547 had an Impala 2571 taped to it, which I kept because it makes sound. You can swap the boards between mounts.

I assume you already know that 02-05 were redesigned and not compatible at the speaker output plug. I do not know if you can hack up your harness to adapt the different plug - it has more wires than a 2001.

I recently talked to Tyler at 1 Factory Radio 855-723-4699 and he indicated they might be able to repair a 9547.

Good luck.

Been looking for a long time. I should have purchased one when they were on Amazon. I have bought a used, but it caved in a month. Used are all going to be old too.

I see the scrap yards are calling them refurbished or remanufactured lol. I guess they wiped it clean.

Good luck on your hunt.
I have n idea what is going on with my '01 radio, except I now actually have sound and all speakers working. Took it to my body guy (crunch, sad story) and mentioned the radio problem (unrelated to crunch). He took parts out of my '04 (not the amp, not interchangable), and now I have decently functioning sound system??? Apparently, earlier in its life (I'm 3rd owner) the car had an aftermarket sound system installed, and then swapped was back to the old one before sold, but the wiring wonky and front speakers were absent, hence no sound from them. Anyway I now have decent sound but he was not sure if the front speakers were going through the amp --? So I guess there are work-arounds.
