2001 Monte Carlo SS

On my driver's side seat, the seat around the airbag has separation and exposed the white airbag frame. How can I fix it without taking a chance of deployment of the air bag?

Sadly this is a common issue, but I don't know what solutions are available. My Montes don't have the air bags in the seats.
