2001 MC SS Stalling! HELP!!!
Hello! I'm new to this forums. Wanted to start by saying hello.
I've got a problem. Just recently bought a 2001 MC SS, it's got lots of mileage. The car had been sitting in storage for aprox. 7 months before I bought it. It runs good just has a small stalling problem. I'll give it full throttle off the line and it goes good, but about 2 minutes later after i've just been crusing with it, doin about 50mph it'll stall. Then i'll pull over on the side of the road and fire it back up, no problems. Then it runs fine again.
I'm yet to change all the fluids and filters, as well as wires and plugs. Do you think after a good tune-up it'll run fine?
Also minor pulsing in the brake pedal at low speeds.
Anyone have any clues to this??

After being stored for 7 months, I would have at least done an oil change first. Can you tell when it will stall, or does it just quit? Does it studder before? Does your torque converter lock up before it stalls or is it just random? The pulsating in the brake could just be 7 months of crud built up, after a few weeks or if you hear squealing you could need to change or churn your rotors or change your pads, but I'm willing to bet it will go away in a little while. As far as stalling, be patient some of our other members who know a whole lot more than I do, or have had the same issue, can shed light on this. Good Luck and keep us updated!
Ok so i fixed the stalling. It was the Crankshaft sensor.
Now my worries are the Traction control light and ABS lights turning on after about 30 seconds of the motor running, every time. Still the brake pedal pulses a little bit.

TC & ABS light could either be crud build up after 7 years, or you could have abad wheel speed sensor. I'd take it in and have a dealership or a good shop with the right tools take a look at it. I'm glad you fixed the stalling though! Now when another member says hey, this is what is happening...you can help! Back to the TC and ABS light, brakes aren't something to mess around with.
