1ST. i have a 5 day fixit from the police for a rear right brake light. i bought bulbs. 1 didn't work and the other lit very dim.
im using the right bulbs.. any ideas?
2nd. i run my laptop to a lighter converter, 100w. i wanted to keep my laptop powered without using the lighter....
how would i go about this..

Sometime bulbs can be a huge pain in the A to push in all the way, try using a lot of force to push it in the socket.
Also, never touch a bulb with your bare hands, always wear gloves, or use a paper towel or something the oil on your hands (even if just washed) can damage the bulb and connectors.

sounds like a crusty or loose ground. start at the tailights and work your way forward to where the wires meet and bolt to the frame/unibody. this was the problem on my S10 pick'em'up. as far as constant power to the computer, you could wire it into your fusebox OR figure out which wire maintains the clock memory on your radio and wire it in there. I'd go with the fusebox first.
