Default 1999 MonteCarlo, car won't start

In the last few weeks, the MonteCarlo has had things such as dimmed headlights, reduction in A/C force and temperature, the volt like comes on and off, windows slow to go up and down, and now the car won't start, just a clicking sound.

Took it to an auto shop quickly, they tested the battery, it produced 12.7 volts, and the alternator charged that batter at 13.9 volts or something like that. The guy said that it was not an issue with the battery or alternator.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your time and advise.

Sounds suspect to me. The symptoms you describe are typically linked with a failing battery or alt. If it's not one of those, it's a dirty connection somewhere.

For best testing results, pull the battery and the alt and have a parts store do a bench test on them. Those are usually more accurate then testing the alt and battery in the car.
