Default 06 SS Sudden Acceleration

I am wondering if anyone else has run into this. A month or so ago I came back to town off the highway and stopped at a light. When the light turned green I pressed on the throttle. It didn't accelerate as usual so I gave it more gas. I was going maybe 15 mph when all of a sudden it burned out like I had floored it. Before it turned the tired over the RPMs were low (not like it was in neutral). Same thing happened today but it had only been driven to 20mph before it did it.

I was thinking tranny but when I spoke to my guy he was confused since the RMPs weren't high. I also thought maybe DOD kept it in 4 cyl mode then went to 8 all of a sudden. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The throttle is electric, could be having an issue with this module on the throttle body.

DOD shouldn't kick in while it is in low gear.

Did you loose all gears when you took off?

Tranny slipping? Fairly common on 4t65s to have it slip like it's in neutral then suddenly grab.
