06 Monte Carlo LT Loose chrome tip
Hello!
First of all, I just bought this car a few months ago, first Monte Carlo ever--almost bought a Mustang buttttt I decided to go with this. The title says this is an Enthusiast community--I'm not one...yet at least. Anyways
Today I was backing out of the Garage and I noticed that the car was making an odd noise when I was reversing out; went to the back and noticed that the right chrome tip is a bit loose. It's a bit rainy out today and decided before I get wet to ask you guys if the Chrome tips are screwed on, welded on, etc and if there is any easy way for me to fix it. Thanks!

I've got an '06 Monte LT also, and they do not come from the factory with chrome tips. The person who had the car before you must have added them on. The only way for you to tell how they're attached is to stick your head under the back bumper and look.
If the ones on your car are bolted or screwed on, you can just tighten it up yourself, or you can take your car to a muffler shop and have them welded on so you don't have to worry about them coming loose again. They shouldn't charge you more than a few bucks to do that.

Welcome to the site and if your here your on your way to being an enthusiast. You will have to look at the tip on your car because we don't know if it's stock or been added by a previous owner. Check it out and let us know.
