Hi, I am putting stainless steel angle cut rolled edge tips on my tail pipes. My pipes are 2 1/4 diameter, the tips start at 2 1/4 and flare out to 3 inches. What I'm not sure about is the positioning of the tips in relation to the pipes. Where the edges of the tips are rolled in, should the tail pipe extend out to be flush with the outer edge of the tip for drainage, or is this nothing to worry about because they are stainless steel? I'm worried that doing it like this might look wierd, but I'm also worried that if I don't moisture will get trapped between the tip and the tail pipe and possibly cause problems.
