Default 06 Monte 3.9 vibration

Hey all i just bought a 06 monte carlo with the 3.9l.. I have noticed a vibration through the pedals and steering wheel and seat at idle with the car in gear and foot on the brake.I took it in to the Dealership to have checked out and they have found a tsb on replacing the exhaust that cures it.. Well it didnt cure the problem its still does it and they say thats the way its suppose to be..So are they right?? how many other 3.9 owners have the same problem as me? is this normal or have u heard of something different to fix the problem? Hope you can help this newbie out

Thanks alot

I have that as well, but owned it up to rough Idle, a problem with V6's, which aren't naturally balanced. If you notice it happens in synch with a slight fluctuation in the Tach letting the car re-learn the idle might help. This involves disconnecting the battery for a good hour or so, then letting the car idle until the radiator fan turns on and off 3 times. At least I believe this is still the procedure. It might be detailed in the owners manual or check with one of the mechanics.

Thanks for that advice I will have to try that! I have noticed that if i turn the a/c on the vibration would go away due the the fact the idle is bumped up to handle the a/c.

I have on occassion noticed a veryslight vibration or loping. I don't think much of it when it happens. It could be the camshaft.
