Very simple, you have a clogged cat.

Depending on your mileage the dealership might replace it for free.

I agree, the same thing happened to mine this past spring with only 68,000 miles on it. My buddy who teaches auto says this is a common flaw with our cars.

You won't believe how good the car runs with a new one on!

That's Wat I figured but wasn't sure cause it always shifts hard and always at different rpms. It has 200 000 miles but just recently put a 04 implant ss engine in cause the last one had a basket leak and my dad never fixed it so it locked up. But thanks ill try the cat. One more question do I have to buy another cat.

You can call or ask the dealership if your car qualifies for a free cat. If not, then obviously you have to buy one.

Some one told me I could knock some black cone out of the cat. And it should work fine after that but not sure if that's true.

Hollowing out a Cat is difficult and illegal, so I would get this done right.
