I just had some things on my 06 SS fixed, including the A/C that stopped working for no apparent reason. They found that "a fascia bracket that attaches to a hood bracket" was rubbing against the condenser,eventually wearing a hole in it through which all the freon leaked out. The service manager said it was an obvious design flaw, and everything (including a new condenser) was fixed under warranty. I don't know if this might apply to V-6 models, but it might beworth a look. I should have asked him if this is a common problem, but didn't.

 

The past week it has been getting warmer up in MA and on a trip to the beach with some friends, we realized there was no AC. When I brought it back home I looked and have the EXACT same problem gale155 just stated. It isn't a huge problem thank goodness.
