00 MC misfire

Default 00 MC misfire
My MC is reading a number 1 misfire and because of that problem, it wont pass emissions. I took it to a mechanic shop and he said that it might be a bad valve but i dont think he knew what he was talking about. Is there any alternatives to fix this problem.

Either the spark plugs, the wires, or the fueling to the cylinder (injector)
