please include me in this club. I feel the club members should be Monte Carlo owners. I do like the idea of the knight crest in the logo of the club. I might be interested in a staff position we can talk about at a meeting at some date. I do like the Jackson area for a get together to forming the club. this past summer homer has had quite a few cars shows and I would like to have all of us meet down here some time. this summer just has been pretty busy and I haven't had much time to attend the car shows this year.

 

Sounds good Tim. Yeah I'd say anyone who would be interested in a staff position please thing about it and we can discuss that, and other material, at a Meet or get together sometime soon.

 

Few months out from the new year so there's a few items of discussion.

(1) I'm heavily considering Michigan Monte Carlo Club (MMCC) as our name. Nice and simple, straight to the point. That said, I need to get going on a logo.

(2) For this Club to be successful we need a website. That being said, is anyone knowledgeable about websites and creation? I'm looking for any information, opinions, etc. about what would have to be done to create and run/operate a Club website. What are the best ways to go about this, where to look, how much would it cost to have done, etc.

(3) I'm starting to think about Club positions (staff) so if you have interest in one of these let me know.

I second the idea of a Monte Crest as part of the logo, maybe super imposed over an out-line of the state of Michigan.

Matt I would be happy to help out in what ever position you need me.

I know nothing on how to even put together a website... I'm not very computer savy...LOL

The name of the club...
Straight and to the Point.

Depending on how many members you end up getting for the Club would probably help in picking people for positions.. via the club/website.

But I'm open to whatever you have in mind.

Heres what our Logo/Design could look like!

 

For a logo, I was thinking the State of Michigan superimposed over the Monte Carlo logo; the Lower Peninsula taking the place of the shield (red) portion of the logo and the Upper Peninsula hanging off to the left side, and maybe incorporating some images of Monte Carlos in certain spots.

Also, I checked with a local graphics shop and looks like wall plaque awards are around $15 ea. and dash plaques are up to $1.50 ea., so not as much as I had initially thought. I think we can easily cover the cost of at least one award and having x amount of dash plaques made up for each Meet if we split the total cost between a few of us. That and having a general Club t-shirt made and available to purchase at Meets.

I have some ideas what if we start off creating a Facebook page? that all of the officers would have access to. we could use that page for membership by send us/who ever an email on that site. we could get a free email with all of the officers have the pass word/user to monitor the request. this way the cost will be next to nothing until we can get enough members to help pay for the website by membership dues. 1st to become a full member you must own a Monte Carlo of any year. 2nd dues of 10-15 dollars for full members per year this would help cover the food for the meets, etc. and maybe 5-10 dollars for the show just to help cover cost. 3rd at some point we could start a news letter. 4th anyone could attend our meets no matter what they have but, would have to pay a same fee to be in the show.

I have more ideas I think I would like a staff position but I know I don't want to me the treasury person.
