www.Adblockplus.org/en/internet-explorer - Been using this recently for all my PCs and I see no more ads, no pop-ups, no ads before each video, etc...I love it.

As far as removing Malware, www.Malwarebytes.org is the best. No need for the Pro version.

As far as Viruses, www.AVG.com/free can't be beat. No need for trials. Just AVG Free.

Try using www.CCleaner.com to clean history, uninstall any unwanted programs, and also delete all of those startup menu items...

I have owned a Computer Repair business for 12+ years and have been using a variation of these 3 Free programs for many years. There are other programs that do additional tweaks, plus other tweaks can be performed through Windows itself. I can walk you through additional steps that will eliminate all issues you have. That goes for anyone else who needs help

Some of those pop up ads are somehow making it onto the forum. I'm thinking through one of the legit ads because the status bar shows the path going to the ad, then it redirects to to a different site. It's only happened to me twice, but when they pop up I pull up task manager and shut my browser down. Clicking any button in the ad will probably download a virus or malware onto your computer.

Don't overestimate anti-virus programs. They are only as good as their last update. If you ever come across a suspicious ad or page kill the process through task manager. It will prevent any code on the ad/page from being executed.

I'm no computer genius by any means...lol
But I do have minor experience with my own computer... well one of my other laptops the mrs uses... and she seems to find every website that is back logged with pop ups, viruses and misc other things...

about once a week I have to clean it out and eliminate all the garbage stuff that's in it... She clicks on more crap... that she really shouldn't... she just loves her "Coupon" sites and down loads it and all heck breaks loose...

Maybe 1 day...
She will figure it out...lol

Amy:
Keep us posted on your progress.

If another ad pops up again, can you take a screenshot for us and post it here? We can then direct it to the attention of IB and they can look at it
