Default 2001 Not Happy Monte

So this just happened. The other day my 2001 Monte LS was running fine. Almost 300,000 miles. Its been a great car so far. I went to get in to go to the store and turned my key and nothing happened. I also noticed that I have no dome light and no headlights unless I turn the key to ACC. I checked all the fuses. Both sides of the dash and under the hood. I bought a new battery for it thinking that was the issue. Nope. Why would I not get a dome light when I open my door? Why would my headlights not work just by simply pulling the switch out? My radio doesnt work. Now I did notice that for 5 days prior to this my security light was coming on so I did the "reset" thing you see a lot of on YT. Still did not fix a thing. Anyone got any clue what Im dealing with? Currently my car is a No Crank/No Start

Do you still have the "security" message showing? Even if it is, it does not explain the behavior of the lights. My only other thought is a bad fuse or really or damaged wiring. Maybe the BCM has failed.

Could be the BCM has gone bad, I had one do that on my car once. Replaced it and all was good. You can google that and there is alot of information that shows up.

Here's the thing. I have had cars/trucks in the past that have a switch in the door jams that when the door opens the switch comes out and the lights come on. I dont have that in the Monte. Im hearing it has a micro switch in the hinge? Anyways.. Im trying to figure out why I have no headlights or courtesy lights when I open my door. I did before my problem. So what is broken that is keeping my car from allowing my lights to come on. After talking to a very hard to reach mechanic I know (he's not in prison) im leaning towards to Ignition Switch. Ive got one on order and will update this feed as soon as the Not Happy Monte is Happy again. Thanks to everyone that left a reply. You all rock!!

UPDATE 2001 Monte Carlo LS I got the ignition switch and installed it. Looking at it I could almost tell right away it wasnt going to be the fix I need. Monte is still a No Start No Crank. So let me reach out to you all again. Why would I NOT have door locks but my windows work? Why wont my headlights come on when I pull out the switch? Why doesnt my dome light come on when I open the doors? Its my belief that all of these combined are what caused the security light to come on. Tell me your thoughts.
