RE: FOR YOU DIY GUYS, ALARM / REMOTE START INFO
You are right about that, I guess if It's really windy the rain can still sneak in.
It'd have to be a pretty advanced alarm, and I can only imagine what kind of sensors it would need to know if the windows were up/down. Be like wiring a whole damn computer, motherboard and all, lol!

there is a sensor that sticks to the windsheild that detects rain drops. as soon as it picks it up it will roll up your windows using a window roll up module. all in all it is really not to complicated of a setup.

I could sure use some help. I have a 2005 monte carlo. Just got the Audiovox aps997c alarm/remote start and am trying to use a bulldog 791 universal learning bypass module. I'm not sure where the blue wire goes from the bypass. It says to hook up to ignition negative or security bypass out, but I don't see any wires listed by those names.

IF ANYONE NEEDS ANY INFO ON WIRING OR TECHNICAL ADVICE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A ALARM OR REMOTE START SYSTEM IN YOUR MONTE FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS AND I WILL PROVIDE ANY WIRING OR TECH ADVICE YOU MAY NEED. IVE BEEN INSTALLING CAR SECURITY FOR ABOUT 9 YEARS NOW SO I WONT STEER YOU IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.
I recently had to replace the battery and remote start quit working.
So, I ended up going back to the place that instahled it and they charged me $50.00 to reset the friggn thing so the auto start would work...also they didnt give me the instahlation papers...just the stand bs booklet...and refuse to tell me how to reset it myself...
They said it has something to do with the PCM...
Yet my Montecarlo (code alarm) never did that or my silverado(ULTRA alarm).
When I replaced there batterys....
Can you tell me how to reset my Sierra s alarm if I need another battery or if the battery goes dead?
Thanks!
This is a really old post Hmmmm...

If you don't know where to start I wouldn't be digging in, just my opinion, but you're bound to have issues.
