could it be done? after market alarm with remote start, can i do something to the module for it to allow me to use my own fob?

oh its a 6th gen MC, not that it matters anyways...

I would think there's a possibility of being able to program it, however I would also think that any security and or remote alarm system would come with its own fob. My 93 silverado had a viper alarm system on it, that was almost more harm than good sometimes..the vibration or movement sensors in it went off sometimes if it thundered loud enough but long story short it had its own fob from viper.

Depending on what remote start unit you use, you may be able to modify the chip in the other fob to fit in your current fob, there's also probably a way to program it, but i'm unaware of how that would be done.
