I finally got my system put in yesterday. I have an Alpine CDA-9855 with the GMS-01 box that lets you keep your door chimes, and a Monster Cable 650W wiring kit connecting it to a Kicker ZX300.1 Class A/B mono amp that drives two 12" Kicker Comps in a custom build sealed box. I bought the head unit used, but my wiring, subs, and amp are all brand new and I would like to keep them that way. I'm fairly new to tweaking with sound systems, so does anyone have any suggestions on how to adjust my equalizer, crossover, sub level etc. to get the most out of my system without blowing my stock speakers or screwing up my new subs and amp?
