Been thinking about making a change with my sub amp.

Im looking at getting the New Rockford Fosgate Power T2500-1bdcp.
The CP stands for Constant Power... meaning that it will run at the rated RMS of 2500 from 1 ohm to 4 ohm, unlike the previous years model, which is the same amp but with out the CP capability.

Now most of these amps put out around 3300 RMS so their way underrated. So since I wasn't going to add the second US AMPS MD 3D amp I was going to get this amp which is an awesome amp. By installing this amp instead I will double my power to the sub.

So Along with this post I was wondering if anyone here had any interest in my current sub amp.. US AMPS MD 3D amp.

I highly advice against this, for main reason, mainly though, your dollor to gain ratio is HORIBLE with that amp. its a ****ing epic amp, not doubt, RF's top dog. great amp. if you want a cleaner, more powerfull bass. freidn, i highly, AND I MEAN HIGHLY suggest you spend that money on this upgrade.

i added one to my car, and i had to turn my sub gains down by 10% and still was putting out far more bass than i ever was previously, you can play the sub higher, cleaner, and witht he added sound processing everything will mesh in soooo perfect you won't believe what you're hearing.

I saw this amp before but its not up on their website thats why I never looked at getting it. They only list up to the 3DE

I can get the new T2500-1bdcp for around $800 anyway. And It will match my T600-4s

good choice on the processor. clearly your a RF fan lol, i'm more JBL my self but to each their own. i do like me some RF too.

still don't advice the switch. it's not worth 800$ IMHO for that. changing your sub box or your subs would probobly yeild you more ideal results. those US amps are great stuff, granted they aren't what they were before RE got involved. still pretty damn good though. plus that 3300 rms is at 100% you're going to see something more like 2000 anyways. and you're probobly seeing something like 1700 with the US amps. is 300 watts worth 800$ to you? it's not to me.

Anyways I also wanted to say that I found a deal on 4 Polk Audio db 6.5 speakers for $80 brand new and never opened. I couldn't pass it up so I took it. I was thinking about doing a custom rear deck with all 4 in there.

 

Somebodys been spending some time on SMD I see Do you have an high output alternator? Upgrading to that amp you're gonna need one for sure, those amps love current! Friend of mine was running a 1500bd in his Tahoe and it dimmed like a ****! My other buddy put the same amp in his Grand Marquis, after running a DC 3k for a while with very little dimming and that thing sucked the power out of his car like crazy! Either that or hopefully that amp will do rated power anywhere above 11v like the JL slash amps cause ur gonna have some nice voltage drop going on. If not, the upgrade will be purely aesthetical because if you cant supply it the current it needs to make power, u wont be getting near its rated output. As Dr. Laura would say, "Now do the right thing."

 

Im actually surprised with my US AMPS amp I havnt had much voltage drop with no noticeable dimming. Back when I ran the Alpine PDX amp I had lots, but I dont now and I have more RMS than I did before.

When I get my inspection in a month or so, im having the Alt checked because I think its been making noise while at idle which I know isnt good. If its bad im will switch to HO

My alts been on 1000RMS+ for over 2 years its held me well even with just a normal battery.
