Default SWI-X Pac Steering Wheel Interface

Hello guys, i'm in the final stretch of wrapping up this radio install, the head unit works great. Now I'm concentrating on the Steering Wheel controls. I have the Pac SWI-X Adapter, but I'm having a hard time figuring out where to connect the wires for it. Is it at the BCM? The Steering Wheel harness, or the back of the radio?

There are only 3 wires being used, the Black Ground, the red switched 12v, and the green interface wire. Please give me a heads up on this. thanks in advance!!

I have this myself and haven't had a chance to get it successfully working. I think I have a dark blue wire hooked up where I'm supposed to use light blue.

On the PAC SWI-X interface, the green wire is the interface wire. the black is the ground, and the red is the 12V switch.

Cool this will help me out!!!

You only use the 3 wires - Black, Red, Green. I know the first 2. What color does the Green one hook up to? Does it have a different name than interface?

Also what were your programming codes... I might be doing that wrong as well.

Hey dude,

Be sure that you are following the instructions for Chevys that have "All with 24 pin connector. Except SUV's and Trucks", I was following the directions for the Monte Carlo, and sudden realized that the directions were for 2006 - 2007.

Here is the link to the right directions:
http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogram...les&ID=341

If this is done right you should have the green wire connecting to the blue wire at the A7 pin. Then you have to get a piece of wire and make a connection between the pink wire at A6 pin, to the radios 12V ACC wire. BE SURE YOU CONNECT IT TO THE "ACC" AND NOT THE DIRECT TO BATTERY YELLOW!

Then ground the black to the radios ground wire, and tape up the wires as they won't be used for this application.

Then program.

If you need more help let me know!

enjoy!
