i disagree. i think you should use a capacitor. i have 3 12" pioneer competion subs and alpine door speakers with 2 3"tweeters in a ported box with 2 2000 watz amps it rune through a capacitor but also 2 batteries. i think it helps if u are running alot through it, then its useful. if u dont think so run batteries

first of all i play my music about 3/4 the way up most of the time that i drive. o think ppl that are having problems try to think they have a bigger system then they do. if your playing you head unit full go then maybe you should ajust you amps.

wow yall are nuts, as far as red tops go i dont have one, i just use the ac delco that came stock. i think i have a v maxx charge tank battery in the trunk. im running around 2000 rms watts "real watts", no b.s. it says i have 2000 watts on the front of the box watts, and mine runs fine. i have a 07 LT with a 125 amp alternator though so idk if that helps.

does anyone know how many amps the 00-05 alternator has??? if its smaller that might be your drawback, or possiblly the wiring job?

The earlier amps are 105 amps, and if you have a decent system, that's really not big enough. The "big 3" wiring upgrade is a "must do" also.

why do you have so many wattZZ amps for only 3 subs, 4000 amps for that little bit of stuff?

do not get a cap its not a solution.
if your having dimming problems do the big 3 another bat or better alt. capacitors are not magic and actually store electricity inside them which is so inefficient ts ridiculous. car batterys dont actually store electricity. they store a chemical reaction. and when the chemical reaction is reversed it gives off electricity. so dont get a cap ever.
