capacitor installation guide?

Default capacitor installation guide?

i'd like to do it my self verses an audio store. this is the one i got and couldnt find anything for about installing

take the positive from the battery to the cap+ then take another wire from the cap+ to the amp(s). on the cap- take that to the ground point. let the amp charge b4 attaching the wire to the amp. just get it all set up and attach the pos wire to the battery let it charge for a couple of seconds(a light indicator might turn on) then attach the other pos wire to the amp and it should work.

You should charge the cap slowly before hooking it directly to power. A cap will try to charge instantly and cause a large spark if it is completely dead when hooking it up. You should get it where you want it, get the wires run, hook the ground up then use bulb (a 194 with a pigtail works great) to charge it. Take one wire off the bulb hook it to the positive off the batt and put the other wire on the positive on the cap. The bulb will light up and when the bulb is very dim and almost off your cap is fine to hook up directly to power and it will not cause large sparks.

thanks for the input. i'm very weary of doing this myself so i may go to my beatshop and let them do it..got some tweets i need installed also an they usuallybe treating me right so might as well let them screw up rather me!
