Default Removing seat cover? Quick question

Attempting to fix my heated seat. Almost got the seat cover up but I need to remove the plastic bezel with the power seat switch and recliner lever. How can I remove that lever? I've pulled and pulled and it doesn't seem to budge. I don't want to break it.

never mind. saw that it was held in with a snap ring.

and it seems that i'll need a new seat cover if i want the heat to work. didn't see any broken wires

Can you not run a continuity test to see where the power stops? Could be a switch, or have you already done that?

Looks like you're in an 05 also... I'm having the same problem getting the cover off.

Where did you see the ring?

i remember that plastic cover being the hardest part when i fixed my seat. if you don't see a scorched spot, then it's probably not the heating element. do a continuity test like zippy said....on everything

i just got frustrated and gave up. i was looking forward so much to seeing a burn spot on my seat foam lol. I know the switch works because it lights up hi/lo when i press it in either direction.

so just doing the test for power i would just probe the wires in random spots?

and serious, it's so much easier just to take out the seat and then you can see the little metal clip holding in the lever. and it's also much easier to get at the areas where the seat cover is clipped on the seat

If i can remember, it's just 2 15mm bolts at the rear of the seat track. remove those bolts and unplug the electrical connector from under the seat, and just lift up on the back first. quite simple.
