Default Remote still not working properly...

When I purchased my 06 MC in March both of the remotes would not work from more than 20ft away. I even have the remote car start so they should work from a good distance. I replaced the battery in one of them and it worked from about 80 ft away. Problem solved....or at least I thought. That only lasted a few days and now I'm back to a 20ft radius with my remote. Could this be something with the car instead of the remote? Just wondering if anyone had similar problems?

That information does help, thanks!

The only problem is that it sounds pretty expensive..not worth the small hassle of having to be 20 feet from the car to use the remote though.

is your car still under warranty? and i think its a recall so it wont cost anything. it has to do with the way the antenna is grounded. at least thats what i think. my trans is starting to go im just waiting for that and im goin to take mine in to have both issues fixed at the same time.

I got my car used in March, but as far as I know it's not under warranty. It's not a big deal, just a little annoyance that I'm getting used to.
